Few weeks ago, I was walking back from my laptop service center, listening to songs in my iPod. I can’t say “songs” actually, I was listening to a single song that entire 1hr walk. ( that was crazy, I know 1 hr walk !! ). The song was ’Jaane do na’ from “Cheeni Kum”.  The song was beautiful and so very much attractive. So, where did I get this addiction to the song ? From this blog … On a musical note…  by Swati Kanitkar. 

So,  I introduce you to the first blogger of our new series, by Swati Kanitkar. Now, before you continue reading, go over to this post and listen to the song that I was talking about. 

Looking at her blogger profile, Swati in the Accounting industry and is currently in Richmond, VA, United States.  Apart from songs that she sung, she posts news bits about music, and also some experiments like this one. And yes, my favorite song from her blog is of course the Cheeni Kum song !!.  So, go ahead and listen to her songs, and let me know your comments !! 

PS: Since this is the first post in the new series, you may find a lot of things missing ( did you feel so ? let me know what more you are looking for, use the comment form ) …   but when we continue our journey through these musical blogs,  I will try to bring things much better, I promise !!

With this post, I would like to announce a new series on Indian Music Blog, which will introduce various music bogs and boggers behind them. We can not just leave it calling them bloggers. They are beyond bloggers. They are singers too. Most of them sing and record their own versions of songs, and publish them online. 

When I started this blog, I started spending more time online browsing through various music blogs and finally ended up among a large community of music bloggers or podcasting singers. It was an amazing experience, and their world is colourful. Brilliantly coloured.  Now, I am not very sure if regular music listeners and music enthusiasts are familiar with these communities, their blogs and their music.  This series, will be an attempt to introduce you to such a new experience and new music culture.

When someone tell you not to look at something, you get tempted to go there and see what is there, actually right ? There are companies, using this as a marketing technique … yes, like apple inc, keeping everything secret until they release the product, and you wil see “secret pictures of apple’s new product” all around the web, and they get enough free advertisement.

Now, director Shnankar is trying this, with his new movie Endhiran / Robot, the new  Rajni Ash starer. Shankar has put 40 security guards for Ashwariya, so that no one gets to take a photo of the shoot. Everything is “secret”, and lets see, what happens, soon, you will see blog posts, email forwards with pictures taken, breaking the security, yea, they will invade your inbox, and most of us will feel great, because we got to watch a “secret” .. this feel good factor, the excitement, and all the stuff happening around this “secret”, in turn  will help the publicity of the movie,
